How much is Day Camp?

Camp is $160/camper, which includes a camp t-shirt & a basketball. Early Registration OR Faculty/Staff Discounts are available. Contact Coach Marino at jmarino7@radford.edu for more info.

How do I reserve a spot for Day Camp?

Participants should register for camp online through our website. Registration can also be made by downloading the (1) Day Camp 2019 Registration Form & (2) Medical Release Form in the Documents Tab and mailing them along with the camp fee (in the form of check or money order) to Mike Jones Basketball Camps at PO Box 3563, Radford, VA 24143.

Can I register the day of camp?

Yes, walk ups are welcome. Payment can be made by cash, check or money order for walk ups.

What is the cancellation/refund policy?

A $100 non-refundable deposit is included in the camp fee. We are able to process refunds until June 17th.

What should campers bring for Day Camp?

Campers should dress comfortably each day in shorts, t-shirt and proper basketball or tennis shoes. Do not bring your own basketball, basketballs will be provided. Water will be provided. Mike Jones Basketball Camps is not responsible for lost/stolen items.

Will lunch be provided at Day Camp?

Lunch will not be provided, however, pizza, snacks, & drinks will be available for purchase each day from our camp concession stand.
Campers may bring their own lunch in a lunch box or marked bag.

What is the Camp Bank?

At the start of camp and throughout camp, parents and/or campers can put money into the camp bank so campers can purchase pizza, snacks & drinks through the concession stand. Money that is leftover and not used by the camper can be refunded at the end of camp.

What time is check-in for Day Camp?

On the first day of camp, June 17th, check-in will begin at 8 a.m. just inside the main entrance to Dedmon Center Arena and last until 9 a.m.
On the days following (June 18 - 20), campers may begin to arrive as early as 8 a.m. Camp will begin each day promptly at 9 a.m. on the main floor and end there at 4 p.m. Pick up for your camper will be from 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. each day.
Parents are welcome to stay and watch at any point during camp.

What if my child needs to leave early for Day Camp?

All campers are expected to stay on the premises for the duration of camp each day. If you have a special situation where your child will arrive late or will need to be picked up early, please let our staff know so proper arrangements can be made.

Who can attend Mike Jones Basketball Day Camp?

Mike Jones Basketball Day Camp shall be open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level, and/or gender.)

What kind of medical care is available?

Certified athletic trainers are on site throughout camp. Please be sure to include any information that will be important for them to know when filling out your child’s medical history form. If medication needs to be given, or there is a special circumstance our medical staff needs to be aware of, you will be able to meet with an athletic trainer the morning of check-in.
